Summer!! It's here!!!! Finals are over, my things are packed and I am ready for a full summer at K-Kauai! I CAN NOT believe how fast this year went by...it's absolutely insane and I am SO thankful for everything the Lord has blessed me with and challenged me with over this school year. I have made amazing friends, there have been good times and hard times but, I made it through, sometimes it's all you can do right?! :) I grew a ton and now am ready to go and pour out everything I have learned this past year into the lives of others at kamp- whatever I need to do I am ready and willing. I have a refreshed attitude toward Kanakuk and the Lord is definitely working in me daily to give me a servants heart and put others needs before my own. Which is what are lives should be about. I know this is where the Lord wants me this summer. I will try to update you all on my 2/4's (which for all you non-kanakukers is a 24 hour period of time off) and let you know some of the great things that God is doing throughout the summer!
Things I learned/was blessed with this past year
1. New friendships- some of them have been renewed from the past and others are brand new and I love all of them
2. GT and Lindsay are having a baby!!! I can't wait to love the stink out of her...seriously...I can't wait.
3. Lauren Cushing (now MINOR!!) was able and willing to disciple me and I grew SO much in my love and knowledge of the word- I highly recommend being her friend, you will learn a lot just by listening to her.
4. I got to meet/ hang out with Matt Wertz with my best friend...still the best night of my entire life!!!!
5. I have not been sick ONE SINGLE DAY from my muscle disease this whole year!! Praise the Lord...He is definitely a great healer
Those are 5 things that come to my mind- but the Lord has done so much , to list it all would get a little long :) To sum up- God is Great, Life is Good- and Summer is here!!!
