Friends, today I read the most moving scripture I have read in a while. Zephaniah 3:17 gave me chills when I read it late last night, I fell asleep dwelling on these beautiful verses and I just wanted to share them with you so you can hopefully, God willing, receive that same peace and feel as loved as I did.
"The Lord your God is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with his love,
He will rejoice over you with singing."
-Zephaniah 3:17
Is that not insane? Really take a minute to let that verse sink in! The Lord is willing to save us but not only that he takes delight in you as his creation, he quiets us with His love, like a mother singing her little baby to sleep after they wake up afraid, He rejoices over us with singing..what does the voice of God sound like when He sings?!...this scripture rocked me today. I feel so humbled that He not only loved us enough to send Jesus to come down and die but it's an ongoing process it wasn't just that He died for us and said ok checked that one off my list...moving on... NO- He delights over us, quiets us when we are afraid by simply loving us, and He rejoices over us with singing. It's beautiful and I pray the Lord let's it penetrate your heart as much as it did mine...it's life changing stuff
