i'm not doin' so hot at this waiting business.

"I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock.He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord." -Psalm 40:1-3

Oh friends. The Lord has been teaching me SO much lately. I feel like this semester has been a constant stream of testing and refining. Yet every morning I have found Him to be faithful and true...even when my emotions change and life seems uneasy. I was reading my bible at a worship service the other night and I just needed Him to gently remind me to WAIT PATIENTLY and needed the reassurance that me hears me. I was disgusted at how quickly I try to take control back and justify my sin and how quickly it puts me strait into sticky situations of mud and mire. I had a sweet friend remind me that the Lord takes us out of that. Not only out of it but wipes us clean and sets us on a new path. I have messed up, its true, and I will continue to . Yet every morning he can be counted on to be found faithful and true. He wipes me clean and sets me on a rock, he gives me a new song of praise and thankfulness to sing to him. I am so humbled that he chose me and I can only pray that I live a life worthy of Him.
